When not to buy us

One MCP server, one user, and you enjoy maintaining infrastructure? sigbit/mcp-auth-proxy is free and it works. Our free tier exists because we would rather you did not have to.

Or build it yourself

Build it yourself if you have a platform team that wants to own an internal MCP gateway. Done properly, that means per-user OAuth, role resolution against your identity provider, policy per tool, masking on the way back and one audit trail across every assistant. At that point you are not building a connector, you are building a product. You can also have it on Friday.

Coming from Composio or AnythingMCP?

Both are built for the developer wiring integrations up: Composio has a large free tier and hundreds of prebuilt connectors, AnythingMCP hosts MCP servers from a few euros a month. Neither is built for the review that comes after, and that is the part we do. Per-user identity at the target system, so a tool call runs as the person who asked. Field masking before a result reaches the model. One audit trail across Claude and ChatGPT. The connector under your own name. If nobody at your company has to sign off on AI access to that data, they are the cheaper choice.

Developer is single-user. Team and above include a fixed number of seats; additional seats can be added at any time, take effect immediately and appear on your next monthly invoice. The higher the plan, the lower the per-seat price.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as a connector?

Any MCP endpoint or data source attached to your workspace: an MCP server you run, an n8n workflow, a Make scenario, an API, a SQL database, a Search Console property. All the tools of one workflow or one server count as one connector.

What is in Developer, the free tier?

Five connectors for MCP endpoints you already have, your own server or an n8n or Make workflow, plus one user, OAuth that claude.ai and ChatGPT accept, per-tool policy and an audit log with 7-day retention. It is the full auth path, not a demo, and it has no time limit. When we should build the server for you, out of an API, a SQL database or Search Console, or when a second person needs access, that is Team.

Is there a call limit on Developer?

No hard cap; fair use applies. Developer is sized for one person actually working with their tools. A free workspace that behaves like a production fleet will hear from us before anything is switched off.

Is there a free trial?

Better: a free tier, with no card and no time limit. The paid tiers are billed monthly and can be cancelled at the end of any month, and we reverse the remaining risk: if you do not get a single working tool call in your first paid month, we refund that month.

What do we have to do to get our own connector, with our name and logo?

Be on Team or above, then one DNS entry: a CNAME record for the name you pick (mcp.yourcompany.com, ai.yourcompany.com, whatever fits) pointing at us. We take care of the certificate and its renewal. Nothing to install, no server on your side, no inbound port. That one record is also what puts your logo in the client: Claude and ChatGPT resolve the icon from your own domain, so your people see your brand instead of a vendor nobody recognises. The connector name you choose yourself.

Who in our company has to add the connector?

In Claude Team and Enterprise, an organisation-wide connector is added by a workspace owner in the workspace settings; individual members can add it for themselves only if your workspace allows it. ChatGPT Business and Enterprise work the same way, with a workspace admin. Plan for one short call with whoever owns your AI workspace. Everything on our side is done before that call.

What happens when I go over my seat limit?

Developer is single-user by design. On Team and above, additional seats are billed at your tier’s per-seat price. No automatic upgrade, no lockout.

Can I change or cancel my plan?

Upgrade any time, billed pro rata for the running month. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current month. Nothing is locked in for a year.

What sits in the cloud with Private?

Configuration, permissions and the index sit with us, and auth, queueing and routing run through us. Payload passes through in transit and is never stored; credentials for your target systems never leave your network. If you need payload to never touch our infrastructure at all, that is an isolated Enterprise deployment.

Do I need a Claude or ChatGPT contract?

Yes, Loopthink doesn’t replace an AI license. We provide the connection layer.
